California’s new marijuana laws are being enforced as license applications flood in.

“Businesses have received 153 licenses to sell marijuana for medical use.

Another 1,458 firms have applied for licenses that are still being processed.

The state Department of Food and Agriculture has separately issued 207 licenses to marijuana growers.”

Massachusetts gov signs bill making changes to marijuana law

The Republican spoke after signing a compromise bill approved by lawmakers last week that raises taxes on retail pot, establishes stringent requirements for the packaging and labeling of marijuana products, and spells out procedures cities and towns must follow if they wish to ban or restrict pot shops from opening in their communities.

The Alaska Marijuana Control Board will discuss three different options for on-site marijuana consumption proposed by board members at its next meeting.

Jones’ proposal is it is legal only to try marijuana or a marijuana product at an establishment and then leave.

Mlynarik’s proposal is it is legal to eat cannabis products such as candy, cookies, brownies, etc., but a consumer cannot “inhale” or smoke marijuana on the premises.

Emmett’s proposal is it is legal to smoke and eat cannabis products at an establishment, but consuming marijuana not purchased at the location is prohibited.

Arkansas to Accept Medical Marijuana Supplier Applications June-September

Beginning Friday, the state Medical Marijuana Commission will accept applications from those hoping to grow or supply marijuana, while the Health Department will take applications from those hoping to benefit from the first marijuana-as-medicine program in the Bible Belt. The application periods will run until Sept. 18.
