On April 18, 2017, a new state law became effective requiring the North Dakota Department of Health to establish and implement a Medical Marijuana Program allowing for the production, processing, sale, and dispensing of usable and medical use marijuana. The department approved 2 manufacturing licenses and 8 dispensaries in North Dakota who must report seed to sale activity regularly. North Dakota will not be giving out any additional licenses at this time.
