Description
On July 16, 2018, the New Jersey Department of Health (DOH) has issued a Request for Applications (RFA) for up to six additional Alternative Treatment Centers (ATCs) in the state, two in each of the northern, southern and central regions.
“Alternative treatment center” or “ATC” means the permitted alternative treatment center authorized to grow and provide registered qualifying patients with usable marijuana and related paraphernalia in accordance with the provisions of the “New Jersey Compassionate Use Marijuana Act,” N.J.S.A. 24:6I-1 et seq. (the Act).
The application instructions, including all forms were made available on the DOH website on August 1st, 2018.

These Standard Operating Procedures: New Jersey - Cultivation plans are written specifically to address state rules and regulations for licensed cannabis businesses including but not limited to: Hiring Procedures, Transportation procedures, Inventory procedures, Labeling procedures, Non-laboratory quality control procedures, Security procedures, Waste Management procedures.

The SOP's are procedure specific to operation that describes the activities necessary to complete tasks in accordance with marijuana industry regulations, provincial and federal laws. SOP’s are policies, procedures and standards to be presented and submitted to regulatory agencies that defines the expected practices of your business where quality standards and record keeping processes exist.
In 2010 New Jersey adopted the Compassionate Use Medical Marijuana Act. The program was slow to start and had little support from the state’s governor.
