Medical Marijuana in CT
In 2012, Connecticut became the 17th state to enact a law permitting the legal use of marijuana for medical purposes. Chapter 420f offered Regulations to approve dispensary and production licenses. New information on the Medical Marijuana Program will be made available HERE. The medical marijuana law protects medical marijuana patients who comply with the law from State civil and criminal penalties. It does not, however, protect cannabis or cannabis products from being seized. Nor does it protect people from being prosecuted under the Federal Controlled Substances Act.
