CLEVELAND, Ohio – City Council voted Monday to roll back a moratorium on the cultivation of marijuana for medical purposes, a step viewed as necessary to avoid shutting Cleveland out of a potentially lucrative source of taxes.
According to Cleveland.com. Meanwhile, a Cincinnati suburb banned marijuana businesses explaining allowing the production and distribution would send mixed messages on their efforts to address the opiate crisis.
Fairfield City Council has recently unanimously voted to ban all aspects of Ohio’s medical marijuana legislation, except for testing (the legislation does not allow us to ban this aspect).
We felt it would be an inconsistent message to our youth and the general public to preach avoidance of marijuana, and then allow it into Fairfield in any form.
